This OTR team job is built for qualified Hazmat teams who can clear DOD approval before orientation. Team Pay Details • Owner-operator pay is 73% of 97% of revenue, not including fuel surcharge, or 71% plus 100% fuel surcharge • PrePass is provided; tolls are charged back monthly • Tractor must be able to haul 38,000 pounds • Estimated gross team weekly revenue: $8,654–$9,615 • Gross revenue is before fuel, maintenance, taxes, tolls, insurance, and other business expenses Onboarding Details • Clearance process can take 1–4+ weeks; average timing may run 4–6 weeks after fingerprinting • The company arranges and pays for the DOD clearance process • Most onboarding can be completed online • On-site orientation is usually 1 day in South Point, OH 45680 • Drug test is urine only • DOD clearance must be completed before orientation Home-Time Options • Best fit is a team that can stay out long enough to support DOD freight flow • OTR freight across the lower 48, excluding California • Home time is flexible and based on team operation, freight needs, and dispatch planning • No set lanes Route and Freight • Mostly 48-foot vans, some 53-foot vans, and a few flatbeds • Flatbed work may require bind/tarp readiness • DOD-sensitive freight across all 48 states, excluding California hiring • All drivers and teams can expect to transport hazardous materials • No hazardous waste • Freight is heavy in the Midwest • Most loads average 20,000 pounds or less Team Responsibilities • Keep trip updates, paperwork, and secure-load communication current • Follow clearance, security, and freight-handling procedures • Handle flatbed securement or bind/tarp needs when assigned • Run as a ready-made CDL-A team • Haul DOD-sensitive and Hazmat freight safely Minimum Requirements • No SAP drivers • No reckless or careless citations • No more than 3 violations in the last 5 years • No more than 2 accidents in the last 5 years • Owner-operator tractor must meet the 6-year age rule • Ready-made teams only • Both drivers must have Hazmat • Both drivers must have 2 years of OTR experience Truck Setup • Hazmat-ready team operation required • No inward or outward cameras • Pets are allowed, but drivers are responsible for any truck damage • Owner-operator tractor cannot be older than 6 years at signing • Tractor must be able to haul 38,000 pounds Support and Benefits • Pets allowed under damage-responsibility policy • No inward or outward cameras • Fuel surcharge pay option available • Company-paid DOD clearance process • PrePass provided Fast Track Hiring • Submit your application for this route • A recruiter reviews your experience, location, schedule needs, and route fit before moving you forward • You can check application status and next steps from your driver dashboard
